Bulgaria is famous for its Bulgarian rose oil, also called “liquid gold”. It is extracted through the process of distilling the flowers of the Damascena rose, which is carefully cultivated in the Valley of the Roses.

We will visit a certified rose oil manufacturer with its own distillery and a high-tech laboratory. We will meet a specialist from the “Innovation” department to learn about the history of rose production in Bulgaria.

Test the authenticity of Bulgarian rose oil

Bulgarian rose oil has a yellow to greenish yellow color and a very rich smell. It has around 283 components, which makes it unique. It is an extremely precious raw material used in the fine perfumery of world famous brands.

We will verify the authenticity and quality of Bulgarian rose oil by performing an ice test.

The vial consists of two parts: an outer wooden part – a vial and a glass vial, filled with rose oil. The traditional flask is made of wood, hand painted with traditional Bulgarian patterns and using a special technique – pyrography.
