DAY 1 Arrival in Sofia

Arrival at Sofia airport. Meet and greet by your Bulgarian guide. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight.

DAY 2 Boyana Church - Rila Monastery - Plovdiv

After breakfast, the car and travel notes will be delivered to your hotel. Admire rural Bulgaria on route to the Rila Monastery in the pine-carpeted Rila Mountains. Visit two of Bulgaria’s must-see sights. Rila monastery is the most famous and fascinating monastery in the Balkans, under the UNESCO protection. After time to explore independently, continue to Boyana Church, to marvel at its spectacular pre-Renaissance frescoes. Continue to Plovdiv, Cultural Capital of Europe in 2019, this is one of the oldest cities in Europe with rich heritage. Overnight in Plovdiv. Transfer: 4 hours 49 min / 406 km.

DAY 3 Sofia - Koprivshtitsa - Plovdiv

After breakfast departure for Plovdiv by the Rhodope routes, bordered by picturesque landscapes. Pass by the village-museum of Koprivshtitsa on the road. Koprivshtitsa is a small town situated in a picturesque valley among the mountains in the central part of Bulgaria. Continue to Plovdiv, Cultural Capital of Europe in 2019, this is one of the oldest cities in Europe with rich heritage. Overnight in Plovdiv.

DAY 4 Plovdiv - Bachkovo Monastery - Assen's Fortress - Kazanlak

DAY 5 Kazanlak – Valley of roses – Sofia

Discover the mysterious epic of the Thracians by visiting the temples and tombs in the region, recently renovated and presenting a unique architecture. The Thracian Tomb of Kazanlak (early 3rd century BC) is a true masterpiece of Thracian architecture and painting. On the road between Kazanlak and Shipka, visit the elegant Russian-style Nativity Church. It is time to return to Sofia. Accommodation. Overnight.

DAY 6 Sofia - Departure

Breakfast. You may visit other sites and monuments before your flight. Transfer to the Sofia airport.
